Janana Summer Encounter Jul. 4th – 12th, 2011, Brummana High School
Since 2002, Janana Encounter has become a major regional forum for exchange, networking, and development of skills in working with children, youth, and communities, challenged with difficult circumstances.
Over 120 community workers, cultural activists, ngos animators, and librarians from the Arab world and pioneering experiences from around the world, come together for ten days in the idyllic grounds of Brummana High School, in the wooded mountains overlooking Beirut.
Major areas of concern:
- Integral learning
- Conflict transformation and childhood free of violence
- Forum Theatre
- Creativity Development Training
- Creative Writing
- How to make wrist puppets with children and teenagers
- The creative expression fields of: Music, Bookmaking, Puppets, Motion and Dance, Art of Collage, Art of Living, Prospect for art, Theatrical Games … etc
- Yoga and Meditation.

Good evening to all Jana’s members,
I want to thank you about this camp, it was my first camp with you and i was very happy and i had the chance to learn many and many skills like yoga, communication skills,….and so on..
Finally i hope participate with you in the future!!
iam joined the janana summer encounter 2 times till now , and every year i say this is the last time but before amonth the encounter starts i just change my mind due to many factors and reasons ……experience ,people ,trainers ,place ,surround ,kanaan hehehhehe
