Who: More than 120 NGO and CSO staff members, community activists, artists, and facilitators from Lebanon and the Arab World

What: The Summer Encounter is an annual event held in Brummana High School which gathers NGO staff members, community activists, artists, and facilitators from Lebanon 

and the Arab world. Over the past 11 years, it has become the major Arab platform for capacity building, networking, as well as exchanging ideas and experiences from around the world. 

The Summer Encounter is a 7-day in-residence event which aims at empowering participants working with marginalized communities, engaging them in various activities that promote exchange of experiences, as well as building networks in a healthy relaxing environment up in the mountain town of Brummana. The program includes various workshops, discussion forums, seminars, and various cultural and artistic events.
