“We were once upon a time” Workshop

The duration of the workshop was two hours daily from five till seven in the afternoon
• Mrs. Cam Leece and Mr. Yorg Gruner were the trainers for this workshop

This workshop was set up on the first day of the camp because the previously planned workshops could not accommodate all the participants. The trainers were asked to plan a workshop that intertwines with the subjects of the other workshops. The two trainers picked the title for this workshop to give the participants an idea about the workshop without having to provide details about it. The trainers also wanted to trigger the participants’ imagination regarding the situation they are found in, the time and place. The objective was to make the participants find out through exercises and activities the best ways of communication among each other and with the world that surrounds them using body language.

The content of the workshop and the related activities were difficult to understand which led to the misunderstanding and miscommunication among the participants and the trainers. The six members of the group were not able to reach the goal of the workshop. The group members attributed the causes of failure to the fact that the workshop was prepared at the last minute and the trainers did not prepare the content very well. In spite of this the participants’ concentrated on the physical activities that helped in understanding ones psychological state in discovering the best way to deal with each organ of the body. Even though there were many activities the goals of the workshop remained vague for the participants.
